Why Learn Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology

Being a Complementary Therapy Practitioner is it really so important to know the AP&P of the physical body… yes it is!

At Meridian we believe in nurturing your intention and developing your intuition when you work with a complementary therapy, these personal qualities make a huge difference to the client’s experience of the treatment session. At the same time, having a solid back ground knowledge and understanding in AP&P will further inform your treatment session. From Anatomy we will learn ‘where things are – their location’. From Physiology we will learn’ how things work – their function’. From Pathology - ‘what happens when things do not work as well as they should’.  Mix this together with your knowledge and understanding of your chosen therapy and you have the potential to be a safe, confident and experienced Complementary Therapy Practitioner.

Who is it For

Anyone that is interested in gaining a recognised level 3 diploma in this subject. It is also a pre requisite for anyone wishing to take other ITEC Diploma courses such as Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology or Aromatherapy. If you have previous learning in or around the subject from another learning provider, it may be possible for you to have a one to one support session and then take the final AP&P exam. Please contact us to discuss thank you.

Hi girls i would just like to say a big thank you for a brilliant course wknd (introduction to holistic massage). I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much, my wife is loving it ha. The course was really well structured, educational and entertaining, I can see why so many students return to do a full diploma. If I wasn't working full time already I would love to do the course but hey! Again thank you so much and hope to see you all again. Mark gilder
